Ellie Jane Goulding grew up in Hereford, England. Her birth date was the 30th December, 1986. Tracey Goulding Summers, her mother worked in a store. Arthur Goulding is the father. Goulding came into the world in the year 2000. She has two sisters, Isabel and Jordan. Her brother is Alex. Alex, Goulding's brother, is a bass player. He is also an Hereford musician. In her early years, his mother was encouraging her to take up musical instruments. As a young girl, she began learning to play the clarinet.
